I was watching Midnight Gospel (on Netflix) and in episode 7 his mother remembers that she had him while the moon was full.
I remember the exact moon phase my son was born in (probably because it’s been a topic of conversation in our family, but it still got me wondering); I don’t know the technical name for that phase, but I remember exactly how it looked and what direction it was going (the tiniest crescent, waning).
I remember little of that whole event. When the people who were there tell stories, I am a listener, not a participant, because they speak of things I don’t recall at all.
So, generally speaking, why would I remember the picture of the moon my brain took that night? I remember the visual.
Anyway, I wonder: How many people remember the moon phase of their child’s birth?
